EFI vehicles are controlled by a ECU or Electronic Control Unit that manage and operate the Engine, ignition, fuel injection and environment sensors. Or, we commonly called it the 'Computer'. This computer makes all the calculations and adjustment to have a smooth running (and handsomely tuned) engine.

Conversion to NGV requires the 'cooperation' between ECU & NGV electronics. (a) Every ECU type has a corresponding software management or firmware. To read the firmware, a computer diagnostic unit (handheld or Laptop) is needed. Your NGV Installer should have this handheld for your type of vehicle. Lake lots for sale in minnesota. You can use a handheld (or Laptop) to diagnose the NGV Electronics. This is only possible if you have installed all 4 out of 4 device, without mix-and-match between various brands.

The 4 devices are Oxygen NGV Sensor, NGV Emulator, NGV Anticontaminant and Timing Advance Processor (TAP). Everything will be 'tuned' eletronically. If you are told that there is not need to use 'electronic diagnostic', you should beware! So do you think without timing advancer the stock ECU will still able to increase the timing base on knock sensor.
